Ring a round a dragon's skull...

(map)

In the northeastern corner of the Hinterlands, there is an area called Seradane. This is the location of one of the four portals in Azeroth connecting this world to the Emerald Dream. Like the other three, it is an area teaming with green dragons. However, what is mysterious about this place is not here, but slightly more northeast of the portal.

If you follow a narrow path into the mountains from there, you'll find yourself coming across a strange sight. There is what looks like a large dragon skull partially surrounded by a circle of rocks. There are also some humanoid remains scattered here and there among the rocks too, including a few skulls.

If you inspect the rocks closely, you'll find that there seem to be faces etched onto them. Additionally, the tallest of these rocks is unusual in that it is giving off an odd blue aura around it's base. The non-glowing rocks are seen elsewhere in the game. They are used for the Circles of Binding in the Arathi Highlands to restrain Princess Myzrael in a questline there.

However, there is no current in-game explanation for this circle of stones and skull at Seradane. It is something, though, that has been in-game since before the release of any of the expansion packs.
